Ford Motors India has apologized...

Ford Motors India has apologized for an ad campaign that showed scantily-clad, voluptuous women gagged, bound and stuffed in the trunk of the car maker's Figo model.

Moreover, one of the ads showed a caricature of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in the driver's seat flashing a peace sign with three scantily-clad women sit gagged and bound in the trunk. While the Huffington Post reports another version shows Paris Hilton similarly kidnapping a trio of Kardashians, while a third, has Michael Schumacher toting Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton.

In a statement, the advertising firm JWT India expressed regret over the publication of the ads and said they should never have been created in the first place while it said the firm deeply regrets the publishing of posters that were distasteful and contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within WPP Group.

Ford also said in a statement that it "deeply regrets this incident and agree with their agency partners that it should have never happened."

Mistreatment of women...

Fact-fully, on Facebook, Ford India's official page saw several angry comments by users who were outraged over the strongly offended advertisements.

In response, the account replied to angry posts with a response that read that they share our concerns, and regret this incident while both Ford and their agency partners are taking this very seriously and taking necessary actions along with their agency partners to ensure that nothing like this one ever gets repeated again.

Another standard reply saying:

They deeply regret this incident and they agree that it should have never happened. They are reviewing the approval and oversight process along with their agency partners so that nothing like this ever happens again.

As a concluding fact, a Facebook user from Australia posted, Jodi Philpott asked Ford to think about donating their profits to help protect women and educate men about rape and violence against women. "Maybe they then get a small amount of respect back".

It's really pathetic to experience such stingy perspective of communication taking place misogynistic for women.

If you cant love someone better not hate also!

Patiala Visakhapatnam And Mumbai Win Femina Miss India 2013

Miss India 2013 saw ladies from Patiala, Visakhapatnam and Mumbai walk away with their pretty tiaras on Sunday Evening in the Pond's Femina Miss India 2013 competition.

Navneet Kaur Dhillon was named the winner with the crown title of Miss India 2013. She had to ward off competition from Sobhita Dhulipala who came a close second making her the first runner up in the beauty pageant. The final and second runner up for the event was the 18 year old Zoya Afroz who mesmerized the judges with her stunning looks. Themed in Gold, everything glittered in the show. The stage, the participants and the minor details on their gowns.

Navneet Kaur,20, was a student of the Army School from which she moved on to the Patiala Punjabi University. The 20 year beauty from Visakhapatnam was a former student of Visakha Valley School who is a student of HR College in Mumbai. Afroz is an actor from the RN Shah High School and Mithibai College from Lucknow.

At the show were several who's who, Bollywood celebs and cricket star Yuvraj Singh who happens to be from Punjab, sharing the same state as the winner. Priyanka Chopra had a few words of advice to the winners, being the former winner of the title in 2000 herself.

The event took place in Yashraj Studios, Mumbai.  The judges for the show were Karan Johar, Asin, Shiamak Davar, Yuvraj Singh, Ritu Kumar, Chitrangada Singh and John Abraham.

A special effort to commemorate the efforts of Urmi Basu in prostitution and trafficking the award Woman of Substance was presented to her by Miss India 2012 Vanya Mishra.

Femina Miss India 2013

Navneet Kaur Dhillon wins Femina Miss India 2013! 

 

Navneet Kaur Dhillon was crowned Femina Miss India 2013 in a star studded grand finale of the 50th edition of the beauty pageant while the first and second runners-up were Sobhita Dhulipala and Zoya Afroz respectively. The trio was selected from 23 finalists from across the country.

Actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra added Bollywood glamour to the ceremony, which was judged by filmmaker Karan Johar, choreographer Shiamak Dawar, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, fashion designer Ritu Kumar, actors John Abraham, Asin Thottumkal and Chitrangda Singh.

To move ahead...

The evening began with an entertaining performance by the star cast of Indra Kumar's Grand Masti - Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi who were there to promote the film. It was followed by dazzling performances by Aishwarya and Priyanka.

Singer Sonu Nigam too charmed the viewers when he sang some heart touching numbers.

In fact, the event marked Aishwarya's comeback on stage post her pregnancy while the actress had not signed up any major projects after she became pregnant in 2011.

Fact-fully, Ace choreographer Shiamak Davar confirmed the news while he tweeted, that rehearsing with Aishwarya for Femina Miss India, memories from when he choreographed her for Miss World and says not to miss it today.

The beauty crown completed its 50 years and so the organisers made it a pan India event in the true sense by taking extra care in selecting girls from every corner of India while auditions were held at Pune, Goa, Indore, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Delhi.

Quiet interestingly, the 10 semi-finalists were Anukriti Gusain, Apurva Lonkar, Gail Nicole Da Silva, Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Sagarika Chhetri, Sobhita Dhulipala, Srishti Rana, Swati Kain, Vijaya Sharma and Zoya Afroz. While Sobhita was crowned Femina Miss Itimes Digital Diva by Karan Johar. Moreover, she also won the cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

Pizza-love forces Russian to kidnap people

Russia is one country where crazy things happen on a routine basis and it would probably be weird if nothing bizarre happens.

A South Russian, had such strong desire to have a pizza that he had to abduct four people and hold them hostage for a few good hours before the government yearned to his request, one pizza with a Sprite.

The incident happened in Astrakhan 1,500 km from Moscow. He had a gun and also some explosives on him allegedly when he threatened the hostages. He rushed into a hospital and took two female students as hostages. A teacher and another security guard were the other hostages.

He cordoned himself off in a classroom along with the hostages. Immediately after his demands were met, after hours of negotiation. he released the hostages.

The teacher said that he was around 30 and had a gun but she couldn't identify if it was a real gun.

So much for a pizza,
