Authorities in Ecuador expressed saying that at least 200 people have been vacated from near the Tungurahua volcano after it discharged an ash formation furthering beyond 5 kilometres into the air.

Lourdes Mayorga, the regional director of the National Risk Management Secretariat, mentioned that the explosion produced ash along with volcaniclastic flows as well as could be felt hundreds of kilometres away. She added saying on Sunday that at least 200 people were vacated from the zones of Cusua, Chacauco and Juive near the volcano.
