Politics intensify Over Bodh Gaya Blasts

Dirty
politics seems to intensify over Bihar serial blasts, as BJP takes the
stage to lash out at Nitish government. The opposition has slandered the
CM of Bihar for security lapse, despite a prior alert from the Center.
Nine
low-intensity blasts shook the Mahabodhi temple and adjacent areas in
Bodh Gaya in Bihar on early Sunday morning that left two monks severely
wounded.

What
emerged as a “heaven-sent” opportunity for the BJP, politicians and
ingrates descended on the scene to rant their condemnation against
Kumar.
Even his
former confidante, Prem Kumar, a former urban development minister, took
to the roads, hollering 'go back' slogans against the man, who until
now, was his much-extolled boss.
Questioning the CM's integrity, Prem Kumar demanded immediate resignation and arrest of Nitish.

In
response to the brickbats, a few JD (U) activists menacingly marched
towards the Prem group to demonstrate their support for Nitish. The
police had to intervene too prevent a scuffle between the former
alliance partners.
Nitish
Kumar, too, joined the war, by accusing 'divisive forces' for the
blasts. Although Nitish has left the job of nabbing the saboteurs to
NIA, the premier investigating agency, he did drop hints on the blasts
being “politically motivated”.
